New friends Connie and Ed from Chester, N.J., waited for warm weather to finally visit in March - Connie is a Master Spinner and is excited to help with the processing of the fleece. We shared an admiration of Fr. Walter J. Ciszek, S.J., whose hometown of Shenandoah is only about an hour from the farm.

The generosity of participants at the Poor Man’s Supper at Our Lady of Victory Parish, as well as an anniversary gift from our friend Em, will help us with the purchase of three new Montadale lambs from our local Lehman Nursery. We are grateful for their support - and can’t wait to post pictures of our new sheep!



Congratulations Mia on her first skein of yarn! Mia has been coming to the farm to learn how to spin, both on the spinning wheel and using a drop spindle. She picked it up quite naturally. She is looking forward to crocheting a hat for the poor. It is so wonderful to have another spinner to help out. 

A group of homeschooling families from northeastern PA took a tour of the farm and saw a spinning demonstration. We look forward to having them return for planting, weeding and harvesting the crops all summer long.
