The winter has been mild compared to the previous two - and we are not complaining. We took a day off and went to the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg, where Larry was inspired by the cows and rabbits. The result was our getting four Champagne (for meat) and four French Angora (for wool) rabbits from a friend. No cows…yet.
Heaven and Simon have settled nicely in Philadelphia. Simon is going to school at St. Thomas Aquinas and Heaven is taking computer classes. We had a very nice visit with them and their new friends Martina, Bethany and Tina. The
Aquinas Center is doing amazing things for the local South Philadelphia community. Please support them if you can.
Carmina has had several opportunities to share her new
spinning skills. She gave a demonstration at the Northeastern PA Homeschooling Mom’s Day Out in Scranton, PA, and was the main event at Catholic Underground in Dallas, PA. Our local Our Lady of Victory Parish’s Lenten Poor Man’s Supper benefitted the farm this year, and attendees were encouraged to help pick and card Rambo’s fleece. The response at all events was wonderful - a new generation of fiber artists!
Happy birthday, Didi!
On February 18th, we celebrated Didi’s first birthday - it seems like only yesterday she was living in our kitchen!
Please send us your prayer intentions, and let us continue to pray for each other.
