Our niece and nephew (who is also Larry’s godson), Grace and Garrett, spent some time with us at the end of July, participating in the ‘ora et labora’ of the farm. We put them to work cleaning the chicken coop, washing dishtowels with the washboard, and picking and carding wool. Garrett was a natural at milking the goats. To relax, a picnic and swim at Bowman’s Creek! Like most of our visitors, they enjoyed playing with the goats, especially farm favorite, Goatie. Sarah from Alabama took a break from interning with Gen Life in Philadelphia to help us with the animals. We said farewell to Erin, who is going back to teaching her first-graders in Ardmore. And we did our first canning of the season - zucchini pickles! The farm continues to flourish, thanks to many helping hands, and God’s grace.
